Sales and Marketing Engineer

About the position

As a Sales & Marketing Executive, you will be generating revenue by soliciting and obtaining new clients, understanding and interpreting business requirements, providing technical information, and developing existing accounts. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to clients from a wide range of industries, background and requirements. You will be working directly with the Business Director to formulate and executing marketing plans to drive sales. This is a commissions based role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor data and trends; identifying sales opportunities.

  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential clients; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations and invoices.

  • Supporting new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information.

  • Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment; communicating client requirements and delivery timelines.

  • Develops accounts by following up on existing clients; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.

  • Maintains and improves quality results by following standards; recommending improved policies and procedures.

  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and features; participating in educational opportunities.

  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Technology savviness to sell business software solutions

  • Strong time management, project management and communication skills

  • Knowledge in the Odoo ERP system functions and features

Bonus to have

  • Strong experience in selling ERP software solutions or software solutions in general

  • Software technical background

  • Skilled in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Inkscape, etc.

  • Proven record in the software sales and business development industry

  • Knowledge and experience in the sale of other ERP systems
